Nel 1745 nel Monastero delle Suore Concezioniste fu aperta la prima scuola femminile ad Ascoli Piceno.

La sala ripropone l’aula come era nel passato. È arredata con una cattedra e dieci banchi di scuola di inizio Novecento. Dentro i banchi, visibili attraverso un piano di vetro, sono disposti oggetti utilizzati o fatti  da scolare o suore durante le ore di lezione che riguardano diversi tipi di attività svolta dall’Istituto.

On March 6th, 1745 the first elementary school for girls in Ascoli Piceno opened in the the monastery of the Pious Workers of the Immaculate Conception.

The room replicates a classroom as it used to be back then. It consists of a teacher’s desk and 10 students’ desks dating back to the beginning of the XX century. Inside the desks there are objects used or made by students or nuns during their lessons. They are related to the different subjects taught at school.
