L’antica casa Garulli, ovvero il palazzo di tre piani posto all’angolo di via S. Giacomo con l’attuale via dei Soderini, è l’unica delle 17 case  originarie esistenti nello spazio ora occupato dal convento ad essere stata interamente inglobata nella nuova costruzione senza subire sostanziali modifiche. Ancora oggi sono visibili all’ingresso del convento gli archi dell’antica costruzione e, dal  cortile interno, l’altana.

Despite the renovation works carried out for the construction of the new building, some original elements of Piero Garulli’s house are still visible today. For example, we can see the arches in the old room located in the northwest corner of the monastery. The three-storey building is at the corner of Via S. Giacomo, specifically at the intersection with Via dei Soderini. It is the only one, out of the 17 palaces located in the area today occupied by the monastery, that has been entirely included (without further modifications) within the new structure. From the inner cloister, the roof terrace is clearly visible.
